John died in Westerly, Rhode Island now in the USA. Then the subject of this profile, John b1655 in Oldham was the father of the children which were born 1st in Oldham and then in the New World in Rhode Island. Next in the line is James b1633 who married Ester Smith from the Sherman family. The project has the immigrant families all grouped together and it can be easily seen that they came from a John Kenyon born 1600-05 in Lancashire near the town of Kenyon from which they derived their surname. We have worked together with the FamilyTree Ydna Kenyon Project with their 124 members contributing their ydna and their paper trails of their Kenyons, those which came from the immigration into Kingston and Westerly, Rhode ISLAND in the 1680s.
They did not come from the Accrington Kenyons but instead were a cousin line both coming from Matthew Kenyon b1470. This restores the unified family lineage from the Kenyons of Oldham, Lancashire, England which we had put together from 2017-mid 2022. The children of John Kenyon b1655 are now all placed together here as seen below as the result of our research over several years.
